Here you’ll find everything you need to know about how we charge your business, the range of ways to pay, and how you can save on your bill.
How your bill is calculated
The amount we charge you for our services depends on whether or not you have a water meter. Most businesses in the North West have a water meter and pay for the amount of water they use and the amount of wastewater we take away.
If you don't have a water meter, we'll usually work out your charges based on your premises chargeable / rateable value.
Your bill includes charges for:
- All the water you use
- Taking away your sewerage (foul drainage)
- Removing the rainwater that falls on your premises (surface water drainage)
- Removing the rainwater that falls on the public highway (highway drainage)
- A standing charge to cover our costs of providing services such as sending bills and dealing with enquiries. For customers with a water meter the standing charge is normally based on the size of your water meter and covers our costs of reading, maintaining or replacing your water meter as well.
