United Utilities opens Windermere Information Centre

Windermere information centre

A new shop front has opened up in Windermere this week and everyone is welcome to pop in.

United Utilities’ Information Centre is open for business on Crescent Road from Monday 31 July.

Staffed by a team of employees, the new centre will be a focal point for people to ask questions about anything from their water bill to United Utilities’ plans for investment in and around Windermere.

Head of Customer Services Sally Ainsworth said: “We had a lot of interest in the recent public drop-in sessions at the Marchesi Centre and Brockhole and we heard that people would really welcome a more regular presence in the town.

“We’ll be open every Monday to Saturday and we’ve also arranged a series of hot topic sessions with subject matter experts. Many of our employees live and work in and around the Lake District and we’re looking forward to having a base for welcoming customers and visitors alike.”

The United Utilities Information Centre is at 8 Crescent Road, Windermere, LA23 1EA just opposite the Post Office.  Opening hours are Monday – Friday 9.30am-5pm; and 10am-2pm on Saturdays.

Visitors can also sign up for a tour of Windermere wastewater treatment works or find out more about job opportunities and the company’s graduate and apprenticeship programmes.
